coefficient decimette is a room instrument of suspended resonant elements tuned to the acoustics of a specific site. Developed and performed with ethnomusicologist David Novak, it came alive through improvisation, movement, and collective listening.

Participants made temporary compositions shaped by the room’s resonance, and instrument, performer, and architecture merged into one site-specific environment.

Conceived as a single event, the installation and its compositions existed only for the duration of their activation.
