transit is an experimental radio and sonic cartography project made for nettnettradio, an itinerant online radio platform linking sound, storytelling, and cultural transmission across dispersed communities.
Begun as a weekly broadcast, each episode moves through original mixes, field recordings, photography, graphic systems, sonic experiments, archival fragments, and imagined geographies. Tracing unrealized histories and shifting cultural landscapes, transit connects Los Angeles, Yokohama, and other points of cultural memory.
Across the episodes, fragments of memory, landscape, infrastructure, weather, music, and the human condition drift between places and states of transition. The broadcasts leave atmospheric traces, mapping an emotional geography through movement, distance, repetition, and association.
